The Good Shepherd Catholic School faculty remains steadfast in our work to provide outstanding education in a safe and secure environment for our students. The families of our school community are the heart of our work and ministry. We make decisions and manage the ever-changing nature of the situation at hand with each and every family member in mind.
eLearning starts on March 17th and is expected to continue until April 30th at the earliest (last updated 4/3). The school will update you when new and relevant information is released.
Communication is key during this period. Teachers are available via email. Each teacher will communicate their expectations, assignments, and resources to their respective classes.
Students are expected to work on assignments throughout the week and will be provided the necessary resources to aid them in their learning process.
- Provide opportunities for peer interaction
- Create assignments that include “direct instruction” and “processing activity”
- Direct Instruction: Reading a document, reviewing a website, watching a video
- Processing Activity: Creating a review or counter position, virtual discussion, forum participation, creating a project, answering questions, etc.
Teachers will monitor attendance daily through their submitted work and other attendance procedures per teacher’s instructions.
