SCRIP

SCRIP is a program in which merchant gift cards are purchased at full face value. They are then spent at full face value at the merchants’ stores.

Good Shepherd Catholic School makes its profit from buying these gift cards at a discount from the merchants. This discount is the PROFIT we make for the school.

We carry gift cards for many of the stores including grocery stores, gas stations, movie theaters, airlines, department stores, etc. Every day shopping becomes a moneymaker for our school.

We ask every family to either buy SCRIP and generate $200 profit or pay a $200 assessment fee.

Example: You buy a $25.00 SCRIP card for Home Depot, the profit return on Home Depot is 3%, so .75¢ goes towards your family assessment. Once your assessment reaches $200, you have satisfied the Good Shepherd requirement for your family.
